Dr John Chinegwundoh
John Chinegwundoh is a Consultant Physician in Respiratory and General Internal Medicine at Kingston Hospital. He developed an interest in Ultrasound when working at Columbia-Presbyterian Hospital New York for three years on a Fellowship Program. He realised the usefulness of Ultrasound in everyday clinical practice but was also aware of the lack of training for non-radiologists in the UK. He set up a collaboration with his friend and former colleague Dr Arun Nagdev in 2006 and launched Bedside Ultrasound in 2007.
Dr Arun Nagdev
Dr. Nagdev completed his emergency ultrasound fellowship at Highland General Hospital in 2005. After graduation, he joined the faculty Brown University, Department of Emergency Medicine as the Director of Emergency Ultrasound, and founded the Emergency Ultrasound Fellowship Program in 2006. In the fall of 2008, Dr. Nagdev returned to Highland General Hospital as Director of Emergency Ultrasound and Assistant Clinical Professor of Emergency Medicine, University of California, School of Medicine. Dr. Nagdev's interests include ultrasound education and resuscitation.
Dr Jabari Reeves MD/MBA
Jabari Reeves is a board certified Emergency Physician who received his Master’s in Business Administration (MBA) concurrently with his Medical Degree (MD) from the Anderson School of Management at UCLA, specializing in operations. Since finishing residency at Alameda County Hospital in 2004, Dr. Reeves has worked as an Emergency Medicine physician in the San Francisco Bay Area. He serves as Director for Locums Recruitment for Valley Emergency Physicians
Dr. Reeves is co-founder and Chief Operations Officer of Insight Ultrasound, a company specializing in training health care providers to use ultrasound in their practice.
Dr Nate Teismann
Dr Teismann received his medical degree from University of Chicago in 2004 and trained in emergency medicine at Alameda County Medical Center - Highland Hospital in Oakland, California. After finishing residency, Dr Teismann remained at Highland Hospital and has spent the year doing subspeciality training in emergency medicine ultrasound. He has extensive teaching experience and is involved in research on ultrasound-guided vascular access and ocular imaging. His other professional interests include cardiac ultrasound and regional anesthesia.
Dr Carlos Lojo Rial
Carlos Lojo Rial graduated from the Peninsula Medical School in 2007. He has worked as a junior doctor at Kingston and Guildford Hospitals.
He developed his interest in Ultrasound during his Respiratory rotation and became aware of the ultrasound training possibilities as a Member of the Society of Acute Medicine. He joined the Bedside Ultrasound Team to ensure that the course is relevant for junior doctors and focuses on the skills needed in everyday situations.

Sachita Shah
Sachita Shah received her medical degree from the University of Washington in Seattle, Washington in 2004 and completed her residency training at the Harvard Affilliated Emergency Medicine Residency at Massachusetts General Hospital and Brigham & Womens Hospital in Boston. She is currently a clinical fellow in Emergency Ultrasound at Highland Hospital in Oakland, California. Her research interests focus on the impact of ultrasound in the developing world, and obstetric ultrasound. |
